Hammer Mill

A biomass hammer mill machine is used to crush or grind raw biomass materials—like wood chips, crop residues, husks, or straw—into smaller, uniform particles. This is an important step in biomass processing for pellets, briquettes, or fuel.

Biomass → Feeder → Hammer → Cyclone → Biomass Output.

Feeding the Material:- Raw biomass is fed into the machine through a hopper. This can be done manually or via a conveyor system depending on the setup.

High-Speed Rotor Movement: Inside the mill, a rotor fitted with multiple hammers rotates at high speed (typically 1500–3000 RPM). The rotor is powered by an electric motor.

Impact & Crushing: As biomass enters the grinding chamber, it is struck repeatedly by the swinging hammers. The main force here is impact, which breaks the material into smaller pieces.
